A Taste Of Canada

Wow - it has been FOREVER since I have made a personal content post here at My Hiding Place In Cyberspace!
I get so excited promoting all of the great giveaways in the crafty blogger world that I forget that I, too, am a crafty blogger! :)

In addition to working on several dolls for customers and Craftster swap partners, I have been working in all different mediums, crafting for an amazing tree-themed swap, also hosted on Craftster. This month has been the PERFECT time for a swap like this. The colors outside are unbelievable and inspirational. Autumn is one of the reasons I love living in the north. You just can't be unhappy when the sun is hitting the trees that look like blazing fire, and the leaves crunch noisily under your shoes. I even love the sweet, earthy smell that is exclusive to October here in northern Ontario.

Well I suppose I should head on downstairs and get back to sewing! I will leave you all with some beautiful autumn color that I used for inspiration in the Tree swap. All photos were taken in my backyard this year.

Steam Powered Rings

Cathrinette Rings has a fabulous etsy shop filled with innovative and beautiful steampunk inspired rings.
One of my favorite pieces, the Steamed Artistic steampunk wire ring with mysterious amber seen here is a perfect example of the artistry of her one of a kind jewelry. The rings are designed in a style that would suit men and women, and come in ALL ring sizes.

If you are shopping for a bracelet instead of a ring, check out this brass and rutilated quartz beauty.

Don't forget to stop by Steampunk Rings, the blog of Cathrinette Rings and enter for your chance to win one of TWO rings in her latest giveaway!
